Plan A by Tickled HOT Pink

Tickled HOT Pink is a 501c3 organization founded by sisters, Niki and Danielle Dankner in the early 2000s. Their annual event, “Plan A”, has raised over $1,000,000 for various women’s health issues. Events were put on pause during COVID but with the recent Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Tickled HOT Pink planning committee came together with a renewed sense of urgency—their next event would raise funds for abortion access. But before they could go public with their 2023 fundraiser plans, they needed a brand refresh.

The previous logo for Tickled HOT Pink felt dated—created in NYC when Sex and the City was still airing new episodes. It was also incongruous with the more recently designed logo for Plan A. On top of that, there was confusion as to which logo should be used as the face of the organization. The committee felt “Tickled HOT Pink” sounded young and immature but should still be included in the refresh because of its name recognition with longtime donors. It was decided that “Plan A” would be the focus of the new logo, with “by Tickled HOT Pink” as the supporting text. The overall look is modern and bold, with a clever inversion of the counter in the “A”—a subtle, cheeky nod to a vulva. In addition to the logo refresh, Command+N Creative wrote and designed new fundraising materials, social media posts, as well as the new website.

The January 2023 virtual fundraiser was a huge success, raising over $30,000 for The Brigid Alliance, an organization that offers logistical and financial support to people who must travel long distances to access safe abortions.
